Continuing Education Requirement

Since July 1, 2004, the completion of annual continuing education has been required during the first full year a license or operator certification is active and prior to renewal of any license or operator certification.

One unit of continuing education equals fifty minutes of approved instruction. All licensees and all certified operators are required to attend at least four units of approved continuing education during each year period (from July 1 through June 30) or a total of eight units for each two-year period of renewal. One unit must be comprised of an approved Oklahoma Rules and Regulations unit.

For more information on continuing education requirements, see OWRB Chapter 35 Rules: Well Driller and Pump Installer Licensing.
