Floodplain ManagementOFMA/ASFPM Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) ExamPersons with experience and training in floodplain management who wish to achieve the designation of Certified Floodplain Manager may take this national exam. The CFM Exam measures a person's knowledge of a community's responsibilities under the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) and related floodplain management topics.Though the exam is based on the NFIP's minimum standards, it is not related to the FEMA L-273 course. You are encouraged to know the material in your course manual from FEMA L-273 as well as FEMA Publication 480. Please note: This exam is not recommended for those who have little or no exposure to the NFIP. Registration/RequirementsTo take the exam, applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements through the Oklahoma Floodplain Managers Association (OFMA):
The requirements below must be emailed to Carolyn Schultz or mailed to Oklahoma Floodplain Managers Association, Inc., P.O. Box 8101, Tulsa, OK 74101-8101. Applications must be approved by OFMA prior to the exam date.
