Water Use Laws & Procedures
The OWRB issues permits for the use of surface and groundwaters in Oklahoma. Domestic uses are exempt.

Groundwater Permitting
Groundwater utilized for a beneficial use (such as irrigation or municipal water supply), other than domestic, generally requires a permit. Two types of permits are available:
