The state's agriculture industry is particularly vulnerable to drought episodes and that sector is vitally important to the state's economy. Crop Progress reports are issued weekly throughout the growing season by the Oklahoma Agricultural Statistics Service. In addition, the Oklahoma Cooperative Extension Service maintains an excellent website that includes a great deal of information on agricultural-related drought and drought management strategies for producers.
