The OKLAHOMA COMPREHENSIVE WATER PLAN (OCWP), published and continuously updated by the OWRB, establishes guidelines for the present and future use of the state's water resources and outlines policy recommendations for water resources management.

Goals of the OCWP Update

To provide safe and dependable water supply for all Oklahomans while improving the economy and protecting the environment.
To provide necessary information to water providers, policy-makers, and end users to make informed decisions concerning the use and management of Oklahoma's water resources.

Water Quality Monitoring gives decision-makers the tools (data) they need to do what is right for thier communities such as:

the limitations of thier water,
identify issues that need to be addressed,
identify the source of problems and
where to prioritize monies.
