The East Central Oklahoma Water Authority (Authority), located near Webbers Falls, received approval Thursday for a $36,130 loan from the Oklahoma Water Resources Board (OWRB) to improve the Authority's water and wastewater infrastructure. The loan funds will be for planning and design of improvements to the Authority's water and sewer systems. The financing will be a 100% principal forgiveness loan through Oklahoma's Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF) program.

The 40th annual Oklahoma Governor's Water Conference and Research Symposium will be held on December 4-5 at the Reed Conference Center in Midwest City, OK. The conference and symposium annually attracts hundreds of water planning officials, industry representatives, state and local officials, and citizens who share a stake in Oklahoma's water resources management, development, and protection. The conference theme this year, "Water Means Business," represents the importance that Oklahoma's water resources and infrastructure plays in the economic prosperity and growth of the state.

Construction of upgrades and improvements to the wastewater system will be financed by the Oklahoma Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF).

Geary Utilities Authority Receives $100,000 Water System Funding from the OWRB

The Geary Utilities Authority (Authority) received approval Tuesday for $100,000 in funding from the Oklahoma Water Resources Board (OWRB) to improve the Authority's water infrastructure. Construction of upgrades and improvements to the water system will be financed by a 100% principal forgiveness loan through the Oklahoma Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF) along with $191,000 from Indian Health Services (IHS). The Authority will utilize the proceeds to construct a new waterline allowing residents and businesses in and near the District to receive treated water.

The Wagoner County Rural Water, Sewer, Gas & Solid Waste Management District No. 4 (District) received approval Tuesday for a $14,835,000 loan from the Oklahoma Water Resources Board (OWRB) to improve the District's wastewater infrastructure. Construction of improvements to the wastewater system will be financed by the Oklahoma Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF).

Bryan County RWS & SWMD No. 2 Receives $100,000 Water System Funding from OWRB

The Bryan County Rural Water, Sewer, and Solid Waste Management District No. 2 (District) received approval Tuesday for a $100,000 loan from the Oklahoma Water Resources Board (OWRB) to improve the District's Water infrastructure. Construction of upgrades and improvements to the water system will be financed by a 100% principal forgiveness loan through the Oklahoma Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF) along with $250,000 from the Choctaw Nation and $35,579 in local funds.

The Carney Public Utilities Authority (Authority) received approval Tuesday for a $505,000 loan from the Oklahoma Water Resources Board (OWRB) to improve the Authority's water and wastewater infrastructure. The systems' improvements will be financed by the Oklahoma Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF) with $200,000 of the loan will be in the form of loan principal forgiveness.

The Haileyville Public Works Authority (Authority) received approval for a $440,000 loan Tuesday from the Oklahoma Water Resources Board (OWRB) to improve the Authority's water and wastewater infrastructure. Construction of upgrades and improvements to the system will be financed by the Oklahoma Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF) where $200,000 of the loan will be in the form of loan forgiveness.

The Oklahoma City Water Utilities Trust (Trust) received approval Tuesday for two loans, totaling $23,697,014, from the Oklahoma Water Resources Board (OWRB) to improve the Trust's water and wastewater infrastructure. The first request was for $21,750,014 financed by the Oklahoma Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF) along with a second request totaling $1,947,000 funded through the Oklahoma Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF).

Owasso Public Works Authority (Authority) received approval Tuesday for a $28,170,000 Financial Assistance Program (FAP) loan from the Oklahoma Water Resources Board (OWRB) to improve their water and wastewater infrastructure. The Authority will utilize the proceeds for wastewater treatment plant improvements, construction of a new lift station, as well as laying new water lines and gravity sewer lines.

The thirteenth annual Water Appreciation Day has been proclaimed as April 17th by Governor Kevin Stitt.
