This shapefile represents lakes and ponds in the Arbuckle-Simpson Study Watershed. The shapefile originated from the Oklahoma Conservation Commission. It is believed that the water bodies were digitized from the USGS 1:100,000 topographic maps. Attributes were added by the Oklahoma Water Resources Board
Purpose:
The purpose of this shapefile is to represent the lakes and ponds in the Arbuckle-Simpson Study Watershed.

Process_Description:
Attribute fields were added to the original shapefile. These fields contain information regarding the Oklahoma Water Quality Standards. Major lakes that were built after the USGS 1:100,000 were published were added to this shapefile. The 1995 digital ortho photos were used to digitize these lakes. They included: R.C. Longmire Lake, Wes Watkins Reservoir, and Bell Cow Lake.
