This shapefile represents locations of wells equipped with continuous groundwater-level recorders operated and maintained by the OWRB on the Hunton anticline area of the Arbuckle-Simpson Aquifer for the purposes of the Arbuckle-Simpson Hydrology Study. The groundwater-level recorders consist of a pressure transducer submersed in water that records a water column pressure and converts the value to a depth-to-water value. Depth-to-water values are recorded at various intervals (15 minutes, 1 hour, 3 hours, and 8 hours). The continuous water-level recorders are accessed through a communications cable exposed at the surface. The particular water-level recorders utilized in this study were manufactured by Telog and In-situ; the OWRB used the Telos WS-31, the In-situ miniTroll SSP-100 Professional model, and the In-situ levelTroll models 500 and 700.
Data can be viewed and retrieved through the OWRB well driller website using the specific well identification number. Additional information of the characteristics of each well site can also be obtained through the website. The period of data collection is from November 2004 to present.
